Sheffield Lunar Chinese New Year Festival, a city-wide celebration supporting rich culture, diversity and sense of community in Sheffield. 

 

As Sheffield embraces a new cultural strategy for the city the Sheffield Lunar Chinese New Year Festival provides an opportunity for all parts of our city to come together, to celebrate our rich cultural offering, recognising that everyone has a role to play in making Sheffield the very best city it can be. 

 

This event will be launched by Jayne Dunn the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Sheffield. This event is supported by Sheffield BID who are delighted to be a major part once again of this headline event for the city centre in 2025.

This event promises to be a fantastic opportunity to network with local media, stakeholders, and members of both the local community and the wider network of organisers. 

 

We're excited to offer a glimpse into the festival's spectacular attractions which will include a traditional Lion Dance by highly skilled performers from Foshan. Foshan is a city renowned for its profound connection to Chinese martial arts and as the hometown of the legendary Kung Fu master Yip Man, mentor to Bruce Lee.
